I’ve always been good about taking care of my teeth. I’ve been going to the dentist every six months since I’ve had teeth. I brush and floss every day (if you read up on why you should floss every day, you will be so grossed out, you will floss religiously!) My dental hygienist never really raved about my teeth; she just cleaned them, browbeat me about flossing, and moved on. My husband and I bought Philips Sonicare toothbrushes a few years ago, and now my hygienist goes on and on about how beautiful my teeth are! How white they are, how little plaque I have. She’s a walking advertisement for Philips.
But it’s true. I can see for myself that my teeth are much, much, much cleaner than they used to be. There’s something about the Sonicare’s ultrasonic motion that’s different from regular electric toothbrushes. If you use it exactly as you’re supposed to — which is 30 seconds on each quadrant and use gentle circular motions right up to the gum line — your teeth feel almost slippery, they’re so clean. They feel like you’ve just had the cleaning and polishing at the dentist. Even if I’m lazy and don’t do the full two minutes, my teeth still feel much cleaner than they used to. When we go on vacation, and I have to use a regular toothbrush, my teeth feel like they have little sweaters on them. I’m a Sonicare user for life!
