There is really nothing worse than seeing your child staring out the window at the other kids who are playing. You know he wants to join in but his allergies to the pollen are so severe that it's unhealthy for him to even attempt it. Fortunately, I am as proactive as possible. After speaking with our pediatrician and doing my own research, I found Children's Allegra Allergy medicine. I was skeptical at first because we've tried a ton of other products and nothing really caused any improvements. Some products who promised it wouldn't make him drowsy made him nap for hours. Some that offered instant relief never offered any relief. So, with trepidation, I bought the Allegra Allergy medicine. It's not a miracle cure and doesn't last forever, but it works. My son started to take it on a Monday and by Thursday he was outside playing with the other kids. He didn't last the many hours they stayed outside but he lasted well over 4 hours, which has been unheard of for him when the pollen count gets high. It didn't make him drowsy and his eyes and throat stopped itching and swelling plenty long enough for him to enjoy a beautiful summer day.
