Pros: good on dry and cracked lips, heals cold sores, perfect size to carry, smells good

Without fail, every summer I get a cold sore. It is in the same spot each year and without fail, it spreads quickly. Luckily, every year I use the same lip medication to stop my cold sore and heal it fast. The Everyday Healing Lip Balm from Carmex is my go-to for not only my cold sores, but other lip problems as well.

This particular lip balm is medicated with camphor, menthol, petrolatum, and lanolin. All these ingredients combine to stop my cold sore from spreading or becoming worse. I like the tingle that Carmex gives my lips when I put it on, I feel like it’s letting me know that it is working. I love the scent of it as well; you can definitely smell the menthol inside.

The small jar is great, because I can carry it around with me everywhere. I keep one in my purse, one in the hidden compartment of my car, and one in my make-up bag. The jar is a tough plastic with a metal lid, keeping this balm from becoming crushed or leaking out.

I also like to use Carmex when my lips are cracked or dry, because it does moisturize them as it heals. It is also good even if you go swimming or get wet, because the petrolatum acts as a water barrier.

I truly do love my Carmex and will always use for any of my lip problems.
