This is a new product as far as I can tell.  The only bad thing about it is that it has no pain killer in it so it can sting a little.  The really nice thing about it is that it comes out as a foam so you can put it on a wound and leave it and it will liquefy and soak into the wound without you having to touch it.  I don’t know that it works as well as hydrogen peroxide, but it hurts a lot less.  Because it comes out as foam, the initial contact is so slight that it is barely noticeable.

I don’t use this for children so I don’t know how well it works when you have to have a child with a minor wound sit still so it will liquefy and soak into the wound.  Over-the-counter (OTC) medications in general are not for serious or large wounds so this is a great product for what it is.  I would like it better if they put some pain killer in it.

The product is not just for initial cleansing.  In order to keep the wound from getting infected, it is for wound cleansing up to three times a day.  I use this for my dog so I am very interested in wound cleansing without causing pain.  I use it for myself as well so I know what it feels like.

It is often difficult to clean a fresh wound on a child because of the pain experienced from a recent scraped or skinned appendage. It can be a trauma filled experience for everyone involved. I have been through 3 generations of skinned knees and elbows in this family. Read more
