Band-aid is a reliable company that produces a reliable product. I've used Band-aid brand forever and couldn't be happier with it. I love the sheer strips because the plastic strips allow the skin under the bandage to breathe. The band-aid stays on, but if you want to take it off, it doesn't take your skin with it. I have very delicate and thin skin. Band-aid sheer strips are the only ones I can count on not to cause more injury. In many cases, removing a bandage causes even more problem by removing the skin to which it sticks. I don't have to worry about this with the sheer strips. Even though they come off easily, they don't just fall off. They stay put until I am ready to remove them and that might be several days.
Band-aid is distributed by Johnson and Johnson Company. Earle Dickson was an employee of the company and in 1920 he invented a bandage for his wife that tended to burn and cut herself when she was cooking. The bandage was made from some tape and cotton and didn't catch on until 1924 when the company invented a machine that made the bandages instead of making them by hand. I can't imagine a world without band-aid brand bandages. I avoid any other brand because they usually take off my skin along with the sticky bandage.
