If you knit as much as I do, then you have a lot of project bags lying around. And depending on what you’re working on, it’s important to have the right size bag! And if you’re as into style as I am, it’s equally important to have the right bag that looks good too! You have to have a big bag that holds your entire project (10 balls of yarn, pattern book, toolbag, etc.). You have to have a mid-size bag for small projects. And you have to have a small bag for when you’re just heading out for the day, or going on a plane trip, or a car trip, or something like that. And you have to have several of each size for the multiple projects most knitters have going simultaneously!
The Lantern Moon “Maya” bag is the perfect day bag for obsessive knitters who need to have a project on hand at all times. It’s just a little pouch really, just big enough for the piece you’re working on, a ball of yarn, a xerox copy of your pattern, and a tool or two. It’s really light and delicate, so you can just hang it over your arm next to your purse, and then your knitting is right there when you have a spare minute.
Lantern Moon designs really beautiful accessories with fantastic fabrics and colors. They are works of art. The Maya bags are mostly made of gorgeous Asian silk floral patterns (often reversible) with unusual shell button closures. Knitting went through an uncool phase in past decades, but it’s back again, and cool people are knitting. And thankfully companies like Lantern Moon are designing fabulous accessories for us!
