My husband and I purchased the Fisher-Price SnugaMonkey Deluxe Newborn Rock 'n Play Sleeper because we were looking for a sleeper that was independent from our bed, but still kept our newborn in a comfortable space and at an incline. When our son arrived I was a little worried that the sleeper might have been too much at an incline, but he took to it immediately and liked the way that it coddled him as he slept.
This sleeper has a soft velour monkey lining, which sits on top of the molded plastic inclined seat, and the sides are a durable mesh, so it’s breathable at night. The monkey insert, which is where the infant lies directly, is machine washable, which is great for a newborn that spits up.
It also sits on two legs that are slightly angled so that it can rock from front to back, which is great for the crying baby. And, perhaps my favorite part of this sleeper is the fact that it is foldable and perfect for taking with you wherever you go. It has replaced our old bulky pack and play when we stay in hotels or at grandma’s house, and it fits in the car well.
Even though the price of this sleeper is a little high in price and it will only work for probably the first four to six months of a baby’s life (depending on size), it has been a great sleeper that is definitely worth considering.
