Pros: durable, latex-free, soft

I use wedge-shaped makeup sponges to apply my liquid foundation. I find that the skinny edge makes it easy to apply the makeup around my eyes while the thicker end I can use for coverage on the rest of my face. In the past, I have purchased sponges that do not hold well up over a period of time. Some brands flaked, or pieces broke off. Another problem I would run into is that the sponge would become hard and not pliable. Since I don't wear makeup that often, I don't want to have to throw away the sponge after each use. Rather, I wanted one that I could use for awhile and that would hold up after being washed. Finally, I found a brand that lives up to my expectations.

Swisspers brand is latex-free which is great for my sensitive skin. I can use the same sponge for a week or two and never have any problems with it flaking or becoming stiff. After each use, I wash it with warm water and soap and let it air dry. By the next day it is as good as new. Because of the durability, one package of these sponges will last me for months at a time. I can definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a great wedge sponge applicator.

I don't usually pick up cosmetic sponges because I usually just use a foundation brush or a beauty blender, but I saw a pack of these at my work and decided to grab them to see how I liked using them. Read more
