Now, I have to say, I am certainly not an expert with eyeliner, but I thought I would be relatively safe trying out the Bourjois Paris 16hr Liner Pinceau Liquid Eyeliner in their gold shade because it is nowhere near as stark or harsh as a dark liner, like black or brown.
I was actually a bit surprised by the colour when I first opened the liner, but in a good way. It is a much brighter and paler shade of gold, closer to a shimmery, silvery beige than the kind of yellow gold which I was expecting. The neutrality of the shade makes it much easier to blend with a variety of eyeshadow colours. The brightness of the liner really makes the eyes themselves look brighter as well.
The brush is thin and relatively fine tipped, which makes the liner easy to apply, although I definitely think I need to work on my application skills before I will ever have perfect looking eyeliner. Luckily, because the liner is such a light shade, it is very easy to go over your lines or fix any mistakes without it being too obvious that you didn’t get the perfect line on the first go.
