This is an affordable, non-toxic tinted lip butter. True to its name, this natural lip tint is indeed buttery in texture, giving lips a softened, moisturized feel with a subtle but pretty nude tint. I'm obsessed with lip tints lately, and Everyday Minerals scores big with this one. It's great alone for a very soft colour with a pretty sheen, or under lipstick for a little colour boost and lots of added moisture.
If you're looking for a lot of pigment, you're not going to get it from this. The purpose of this product is to give your lips a healthy dose of shine and smoothing moisturization, with a barely-there hint of tint. Nearly nude is just that, a very subtle, honey-nude shade that will flatter all skin tones. I also own Spring Berries, which is more pigmented. Nearly nude is great for day-time, when you're on the go and need a little bit of colour and hydrated lips quickly.
The sheen is noticeable, but not so glossy that it's over the top. It's perfect for a day-time, neutral look, but would also look nice paired with a smokey eye, when you want to scale your lip makeup down and call attention to your eyes.
The ingredients are very clean, too: ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed wax, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, passiflora incarnata (passionfruit) seed oil, sclerocarya birrea (marula) seed oil, astrocaryum murumuru seed butter, aroma (flavor)*, sambucus nigra (elderberry) fruit extract, tocopherol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract. may contain (+/-): mica, titanium dioxide (CI 77891), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), manganese violet (CI 77742). *natural flavor.
I definitely recommend this product for anyone who wants a barely-there, pretty bit of colour and buttery soft lips.
