This eyeshadow has a better quality than most of Maybelline eyeshadows. These come in kits with 4 simular colors in them. I bought the one called Gusty Green. If your eyes are brown, green will make them pop. When I used the eyeshadow for the first time it went on smoothy. There were no patchy areas and the shadow stayed in one place ( I used an eyelid primer beforehand). The colors have shimmer in them. It's not too much shimmer to be glitter, but it's enough shimmer to where mature women might not like it so much. These colors are highly pigmented, which is perfect for me because I have a hooded eye, so I really need my eyeshadows to pop. I used all of the colors on my lid and they blended together easily, but not to the point where they blended into one color. These also did not last very long throughout the day. I would the shadow faded after about 4 hours.
I gave this 4 stars because they are all shimmer shadows, and for a fall/winter line, there should be at least one matte color, but that is just my opinion. Other than that I would give it a five star rating. This palette cost me around eight dollars after tax....another reason why it gets four stars instead of five. I know you get four eyeshadows, but for that price, I would invest in a great eyeshadow from a higher end. I am thrifty, but I still like quality over prices.
