I love wearing blush. I love the healthy, rosy glow it gives your cheeks, and when applied just right, it can look like your own natural flush, rather than makeup you brushed onto your skin. Right now I am using The Body Shop's Baked-To-Last Blush in Coral, and I really like it. It's a bit expensive for blush (I got mine on sale, which is how I like it), and I might not have tried it otherwise, but it's a really great product.
It seems like there's a whole craze of "baked" makeup, which I don't quite understand, but whether or not I understand the science behind my blush, I know I like it! It comes with two tones in the one compact- the coral of the actual blush, along with a golden peach shade that is meant to be a highlighter. I generally just pick up the coral colour on my brush and apply that to my cheeks, but sometimes I swirl the brush around the whole thing to get a combination of the shades.
This size compact will last a long time
I love this colour of blush on my cheeks. The warmth of the coral is perfect for my fair skin, giving me a natural looking glow with just a touch of shimmer. I also like that it's a subtle enough shade that I can layer it for a slightly more dramatic look without looking like I'm wearing clown makeup.
I actually tend to use the highlighter part of the compact as an eyeshadow. It's a soft, apricot shade that works perfectly to give just a hint of colour on my eyes, so for me, this blush is a bit of a two-in-one!
I love the rosy, coral colour it gives my cheeks
Even though the Baked-To-Last Blush costs more than the drugstore variety, it lasts a long, long time, so I look at it as a makeup investment that I make good use of.
