After years of always buying the cheapest mascara and dealing with clumps, dried out tubes, and other such annoyances, I decided to bite the bullet and spend three times what I'd normally spend on a tube of Buxom Sculpted Lash Mascara in True Black. The sales associate assured me it was a good choice, it would lengthen, separate, amplify, but still look natural. It did all those things, but the problem I have is that I don't find it did them any better than other, less expensive mascaras. I think part of the price tag is the brand, actually, but next time I won't bother with Buxom.
Amplifies lashes while still looking natural
I do like this product for how natural it looks. One sweep barely makes my eyelashes look any different, so a few coats are necessary, and while the mascara makes my lashes look darker and makes my eyes pop a bit more, it doesn't really lengthen them, at least not to the extent I want with mascara.
The tube is nice a sleek with a cool shape, the wand comes out easily and the brush has an interesting "S" shape meant to sculpt the eyelashes by working with the shape of them. I do like the brush shape, but again, just don't find it works THAT well to warrant the price. If you have extra cash to spend, go ahead and try this product, but otherwise, stick to cheaper mascaras that work just as well, if not better.
