I love bright and colorful nail polish. When I find a brand that works well, I usually try to find more colors in that particular brand. Like the L.A. Colors Color Craze collection. Unfortunately, the Shock orange color falls flat compared to other polishes in this line.
I bought the Shock color in summer because I thought the neon orange was the perfect summertime color. It is a lighter neon orange, yet has a very bright and strong color to it when looking at the sample and in the bottle. But when I painted it on my nails, it took four coats just to get a medium coverage of my nails.
The polish itself is very watered down; there is no thickness to it at all. I even tried adding a clear polish to the bottle to see if I could thicken it and that did not work well at all. Another bad thing about the Shock orange polish is that the brush does not seem to be made of the same high quality that other L.A. Colors brushes are. I had several bristles fall out, in the middle of painting just by brushing the polish on my nail. All in all, a bad purchase and one color version I will avoid in the future.
