I am always looking for a way to dress up my nails, and find that regular nail colors leave me wanting more. After seeing it advertised in a magazine, I decided to give Sally Hansen's Crackle nail polish a try.
It is a simple two-step process. The Crackle polish will be the second step. First, paint your nails with a polish of your choice. It can be matte, gloss, or even a glitter polish. You should try to select a color that is in contrast with your Crackle color. Once the base color is try, it is time to use the Crackle polish. The thickness of the coat will determine how much or how little the color will "crack" as it dries. If you use a thin coat, for example, it will have more cracks and the colored base coat will show more. Once all nails have been "crackled," you can use a clear top coat if desired to protect the colors.
While this polish ultimately gives a great look to your nails, it can be difficult to become an expert at the application. You have to work fast as it tends to dry very quickly. Once you have the technique down, however, it's very easy to use.
