To be fair I initially bought the Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine Nail Color to use to try with a nail polish technique that creates a marbling effect. However, I am glad that I did. The colors are bold and fun. My biggest downfall for the colors is that they are a thinner nail polish. It works great when you want to use it for effects such as the marbling technique, but when using as a straight color. It means you have to do at least two coats. Although some shades, I have to use use a base coat first or they still remain light. Other times, you can have a darker shade that only needs one coat. It is definitely a polish that is determined by the color.
I've used a variety of the shades of Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine Nail Color. Some of my favorites are Flash (04), Spark (06) and Bright (02). As with most nail polishes, each shade takes a few minutes to set. Therefore, these colors can take a little longer to perfect to the look you are looking for. However, it is definitely worth it in the end. I also recommend using a top coat, otherwise it tends to chip easier.
Overall I highly recommend Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine Nail Color. There are plenty of fun shades to use to make a statement. They work great for different nail techniques, and it is an affordable color option that lasts.
