Pros: beautiful color, one coat coverage, red shimmer
Cons: small brush

I absolutely love this color. It is a perfect shade of dark red that borders on a black. When the light hits the polish, the color truly stands out. My picture doesn't do this particular nail polish any justice. The color covers the nail without any problem. I've gotten used to some other polishes who have a wider brush... Sally Hansen's newer nail polishes have a wider brush and that helps with the application, but that's a minor complaint.

The color dries relatively quickly. I have never had any problems of it chipping too easily either. Other colors from this line don't seem to last as long as Glossy does.

Glossy is a perfect fall/winter shade. It's dark and sultry with a fiery deep burgundy shimmer. When you take off this color, you don't have to worry about it staining your skin or your nails. The polish can come off relatively easy. You would think that the shimmer in the polish would make it a little difficult, but it doesn't.

I can't rave about this polish enough. I've repurchased this color several times over the years.

  • Not my favorite, but it's an okay polish

I thought given the reputation that Sally Hansen has for designing a great line of nail polishes, that when this lacquer shine was produced, it would give a lot more shine.  In order to get any kind of shine you have to wear a top coat with it.  The color itself is a deep purple, almost black. • Great Color But Use a Top Coat!

To be fair I initially bought the Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine Nail Color to use to try with a nail polish technique that creates a marbling effect. However, I am glad that I did. The colors are bold and fun. My biggest downfall for the colors is that they are a thinner nail polish. Read more

Sally Hansen has always been one of my favorite nail polish creators. I've never been disappointed by the formula or the color pay off. I've always liked that the polishes have dimension and a little something extra. Spark is no different. Spark is a pretty deep blue that almost looks black. Read more
