Personal information: beach lover
Pros: drugstore, inexpensive, natural summer glow, self tanner
Cons: can go through the bottle quickly
I have always loved trying out different self tanners. I have fairly pale skin and don't like to look pasty during the winter. I have tried a few different self tanners, as well as going to get a spray tan, and I feel that this is by far the best natural tanner I have tried. This self tanner can be used on all skin tones and is in the color light to medium.
Color of the Lotion
When I initially applied it I was worried that it was too dark for my skin. Luckily the lotion is built to leave a residue during application to prevent streaking. This residue helps you see where you have already applied the lotion and where you haven't. I found that this residue would always come off if I took a shower about an hour later. There have been a few times when I didn't actually have time to shower right after the application and the residue still faded nicely.
I tend to apply the Banana Boat Summer Color Self Tanning Lotion less during the winter than during the summer. This is just to make the color look more natural. I applied the lotion on a Friday and on the next Tuesday my friend was still asking me if I had spent a lot of time in the sun over the weekend!
The best part of this lotion is that it doesn't make you look orange. The color technology allows for a natural glow. I would much rather have a healthy glow than an orange fake tan. The only negative to this product is that if you are using it during the summer you can go through the bottle pretty quickly. I tend to use one bottle all winter and then go through 3 or 4 during the summer. (I apply it a lot though during the summer). Regardless, I highly recommend this product.
