I ordered these shoes because New Balance generally never steers me wrong when it comes to fit. But these shoes have the weirdest fit I have ever seen. Often, if you have lean feet, shoes will feel floppy, like there is extra material that needs filling out. These shoes fit my lean feet just fine up until the toe box area, and then all of a sudden, they got floppy! As I was putting them on, I thought, ah hah, these are the ones! They have a retro style that’s really fun (reminiscent of those first Nike running shoes with the waffle bottoms!), and they come in really great colors. I was so excited until my foot made it all the way in. I withheld judgment until I got them laced up and walked around in them. But not only did they feel weird with my toes sloshing around, but they looked really weird too. Like there was a big knob on top of my toes.

I’m sure there is someone out there with a foot that fits these shoes. They are really cool to look at, and like all New Balances, they are really well made. But sadly not for me.
